You’d think from the getup I’m wearing in this picture that I’m in some chilly wintery clime. Nope – that picture was taken in Florida! Granted I was in northwestern Florida, on the beautiful Gulf Coast. On Monday I’ll tell you more about the area where I was staying, which believe it or not – gave me a bit of culture shock (in addition to temperature shock).
After a soul-destroying 24 hour bus tribulation (which was supposed to be “only” 14 hours), I’m now back in south Florida, staying with a friend, recovering from an illness, and gathering my resources for my upcoming trip back to Grenada – a place I love and am returning to for a second round of house-sitting. I’ll be there for three months, and I’m looking forward to returning to my little beach villa, beautiful pup, fresh tropical foods, lots of down-time, and – of course – good friends.
