It is my favourite place in the world, and it really made me re-examine those things we prioritize in life. I learned to prioritize play, to live life without expectations, to live in the moment and take things less seriously. I loved the artistic expression that is so much a part of Kehena, and the abundant gratitude for the simple moments in life. I lived in Puna for a time and frequented kehena almost daily. Little Makena has about 300-500 clothing op beach goers (w/many visiting NorCal and Europe hippies) on a good Sunday, and when the sun goes down the drum circle and fire dancing starts up. Very fun and a cant miss on Maui. PS.
